Who you're agreeing with
These terms are a contract between you and Enthalpy Innovations (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/665303/07), a company incorporated in South Africa, trading as Enthalpy ("we", "us", "our"). The service
Enthalpy is an AI-powered study platform for South African high school students (CAPS and IEB, Grade 8 through matric). It helps you organise notes, build flashcards and tests, track readiness, and see which topics to fix first.
What you're buying
Enthalpy is a subscription to a software service, delivered digitally through your browser or the app. We do not sell any physical goods. The paid plan costs R89 per month, in South African Rand (ZAR), billed monthly in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel. There is no annual plan and no minimum term.
Free and paid
The core tools — notes, flashcards, tests, the focus room, weekly challenge, and your readiness count — are free permanently. The Readiness Plan (R89/month) adds the ranked weak-topic list, staleness, the fix-first ordering, the printable cheat sheet, and unlimited capture and AI generation. We will not move a free feature behind the paywall without an explicit change we record.
Cancelling
You can cancel in two taps, in the app — Profile → Plan & billing → Cancel plan. No email or phone call is required. Your paid features run to the end of the period you paid for, then stop. Nothing is deleted.
Refunds
Because you can cancel before any renewal and keep access to the period you paid for, charges are generally non-refundable. If you are charged in error, or cancel was genuinely unavailable, email us and we will refund the charge. Our full refund position is set out on our Refund policy page.
Age and consent
You must be 18 or older to hold an account and to agree to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent to your use of Enthalpy and to any payment. When a paid plan is purchased, we confirm that consent with the guardian before any charge is made. The guardian holds the card and receives the receipts and renewal notices — a minor never enters card details alone.
Price changes
Any change to the price requires your explicit re-consent. We never auto-charge a new amount.
Acceptable use
Do not sell AI-generated output as your own original work — the tools help you study, not cheat. Do not abuse the quotas or attempt to extract data that isn't yours. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
No guarantee of results
Enthalpy is a tool. Your results depend on your effort. We make no guarantee of any particular grade outcome.
