Who is responsible for your data
Enthalpy is operated by Enthalpy Innovations (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/665303/07), which is the responsible party for your personal information under POPIA. What we collect
Your name, email, school, grade and the subjects you take — the minimum needed to tailor the tools. The notes you write, the marks you log, your flashcards, and records of your study activity (focus sessions, tests run, topics practised). Usage data that helps us find bugs and improve the product.
Why we collect it
To run the study tools, generate your readiness insights, and show you which topics to fix first. Nothing else. We never sell your data. We do not run ads, ever.
Your notes are yours
You can export your notes at any time, and you can delete them at any time. Deleting your account removes your data. Cancelling a paid plan never deletes anything.
Under-18 students
A parent or guardian confirms consent before anything is processed. The "Show a parent" feature shares a short summary with a guardian so they can decide on a paid plan — no more than that.
Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. No system is perfect, but we treat study notes as private and never share them with third parties.
